What We Offer
Spoken Word 101 - Learn about poetry slam. What is it? Where does it take you? What are the opportunities for LGBTQPIA2S poets? What makes a poem a slam poem - Includes a microphone workshop
Love your Embarrassment - We all have reasons not to get onstage, to speak publicly. In this workshop we face our fears and turn them into hilarious moments to have together. Performance feedback also offered. Includes a microphone workshop
The New Conversation - Social media can be very intimidating. There is a new conversation going on around anti-oppression, inclusivity, accessibility and undoing white supremacy. Let's have a conversation and answer those questions you might be afraid to ask.
From Coffeehouse to Theatre - When an artist moves from the coffeehouse to larger productions and promotions, they don't always have the language or knowledge of what you can expect and ask for with camera people, sound and lighting techs. Take a crash course from someone who's been in front and behind the scenes for 30+ years.
Accessibility Checklist - how can you make your place of business and/or festival more accessible? Let us take you through a checklist that will transform your audiences and customers. Accessibility is something that goes beyond just stairs and washrooms and we have a great guide to share.
These are just a few examples of what we can bring to your school or group, we're always happy to tailor something to your needs.
